Everyone’s talking about the heatwave…
So we thought we’d join in… but with a magical twist.
The hottest week of the year.
Heat warnings everywhere.
Stay hydrated.

If you’re wondering how to keep little ones entertained without melting in the process, here are our favourite ways to enjoy potion play in the sunshine.
1. Freeze Your Magic
Once your magical potion is complete, pour it into ice cube trays or moulds and freeze overnight.
The next day, children can rescue the magical ice, watch it melt, add warm water and continue their potion adventure all over again!
2. Rescue Frozen Treasures
Freeze tiny magical treasures like gems, stars or mini toy creatures inside bowls or ice cube trays with water. Give your little potion makers pipettes, warm water and their potion ingredients to help “free” the hidden treasures. It’s sensory, cooling and keeps them busy for ages.
3. Create An Outdoor Potion Lab
Turn your garden into a magical potion laboratory. Add jugs, bowls, watering cans and plenty of water, then let little potion makers pour, splash, mix and experiment for hours. Perfect for keeping cool while extending play.
4. Host a Potion Pool Party
Transform your paddling pool into a magical potion lab! Add bowls, jugs, potion bottles and scoops, then let children splash, mix and pour while staying cool in the sunshine.
Hours of fun with hardly any setup.
5. Cool Down with Bathtime Magic
When everyone’s hot, tired and covered in potion ingredients, finish the day with our NEW Bathtime Potion Kit.
Fizz, foam, bubbles and colourful magical reactions make bath time something they’ll actually look forward to.

One activity…
Hours of magical, screen-free play.

Because when it’s too hot to run around, imagination is the coolest place to be.
Happy potion making,
